Our organization began as a part of Trinity Community Ministries, driven by a fundamental belief that everyone deserves stable housing. Founded by Sister Mary Jane Lubinski, we recognized that secure housing isn't just about maintaining dignity—it's the cornerstone of effective healthcare, particularly for those managing HIV/AIDS. Research has since confirmed what our founder understood from the start.
Since becoming an independent nonprofit organization, we've provided housing support to more than 35,000 individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. What started as a compassionate response to a critical need has grown into a comprehensive support system.
Today, we serve communities across a 29-county metropolitan area and the northwest region of Georgia. Each year, we support over 1,500 people navigating the challenges of HIV/AIDS. More than 90 percent of those we serve fall into the "extremely low income" category, making affordable housing not just important—it's essential to preventing homelessness.
Many of the individuals we serve have experienced chronic homelessness and require emergency shelter or specialized recuperative care. We've become the region's largest provider of emergency and transitional housing for people living with HIV/AIDS.
As the metropolitan area's centralized intake and housing resource center, we connect people with the services they need, making a meaningful difference in their lives every single day. Our role extends beyond providing shelter—we serve as a gateway to stability, health, and hope.
